The objective of COMPOSE is to establish an observatory of the social and environmental dynamics of plastics in Vietnam, in order to generate data and knowledge for awareness-raising and public policy formulation. Launched in 2019 by the French Embassy in Vietnam and IRD, in partnership with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Paris Region Expertise (PRX) and International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), this project combines scientific research, capacity building and awareness raising, in order to obtain an accurate measurement of plastic pollution in Vietnam.
