Brief Innovation

The project promotes a multi-stakeholder partnership among existing community management groups organized around the conservation of Marine Protected Areas, the Phu Quoc District Peoples’ Committee, and private sector actors involved in solid waste management issues and, specifically, plastic pollution reduction. The project trains local households and tourism-related businesses interested in promoting a “green” image on segregation at source, reduction of plastic use, and coordinates with public authorities responsible for collecting and handling solid waste.
