Brief Innovation

Towards the Component 3 of Decision 687/QD-BNN-TCTS: Reduce plastic waste, collect, classify from sources, reuse, recycle, and gradually replace plastic use in fishery sector. Main tasks include: - Effective and flexible models of increasing private sector involvement in collecting, classifying, exchanging domestic plastic waste in fish ports, aquaculture areas, processing zones depending on conditions and customs of local farmers and fishermen. - Yard models for concentration, classification, and compression of plastic waste at sea; models where fishing vessels and fishery households at sea collect and transport plastic waste to shore for processing. - Pilot community management models using environmentally friendly materials and equipment in fishery activities. - Pilot establishment of extended liabilities of manufacturers of materials and specialized equipment made of plastic in fishery. - Models of environmentally friendly float materials to replace porous floats in fishery sector.
