Brief Innovation

AEPW focuses on improving collection, sorting, processing and recycling. They have over 90 members & partners, 50 projects across 30 countries. This project will have 2 phases: - Phase 1 (Pilot): 2H 2023 (Vung Tau) - Phase 2 (scale-up): 2025/2026 They expect that can prevent plastic from leaking into the environment ~50 KTA (Kilo Tonnes per Annum) and recylce plastic ~30 KTA. The feasibility of the scale-up phase will take 7 months, with the main activities: 1/Waste baseline assessment, 2/End Market study, 3/Source segregation and participation in SWM survey, 4/Solid waste informal sector assessment & inclusion, 5/MRF (site selection, technical feasibility, economic analysis), 6/Stakeholder mapping & engagement plan
