Brief Innovation

The Greening Cement partnership aims to use municipal and industrial waste as an alternative fuel for cement production in Vietnam. Project Objectives: 1) Establish a reliable municipal & industrial waste supply chian to VICEM Ha Long cement plant by addressing the legal barriers, leading to investment into HODISC technology which could treat all type of waste; 2) Successful operation of VICEM cement plant using 100% waste in the cement production process, leading to zero land-fill in Ha Long and successful replication of business model in many cement plants in Vietnam; 3) Zero landfill in the major cities of countries leading in cement production Project expected outcomes: 1) Reliable supply chain to cement industry is established; 2) Mutually beneficial business model established between waste supply chain actors and the cement industry; 3) A sscessful case study about use of AFR (Alternative Fuels and Raw Materials) technology
