The Viet Nam NPAP is honored to be a partner and supporter of IPPIN, providing technical assistance, connecting with the industry and government leaders from its network and bringing connectivity opportunities to the selected incubators, innovators, and startups of the IPPIN program. The IPPIN’s Demo Day in Viet Nam was a successful event that showcased the innovative solutions of seven innovation teams who participated in IPPIN’s 8-week Accelerator Program. The event attracted nearly 100 attendees, including government officials, industry experts, investors, and media representatives. The teams presented their pitches on how their solutions can address the plastic pollution problem in Viet Nam, for example, through a modular resource recovery plant that converts waste into value-added products, and through biodegradable food packaging made from rice straw. The event also featured industry insights via a panel discussion with the participation of Ms. Doan Anh Thu from the Alliance to End Plastic Waste (AEPW) and Mr. Nguyen Hoai Son from Dow Viet Nam (both of them are members of Viet Nam NPAP’s Leadership Board and Innovation and Financing Task Force). An ‘Impact Investment meet and greet’ session was organized for matchmaking between the innovators and investors. Demo Days in Indonesia, Viet Nam, and Thailand are the milestones for IPPIN’s initiatives to support impact-driven entrepreneurs and foster a plastic circular economy in the Indo-Pacific.
